Low life expectancy free essay sample

Todays world is about speed. Each and every procedure is examined and customized to be as fast as could reasonably be expected, with ideal proficiency. We are right now seeing a major change of the general public that we can qualify as a robotisation, basically in the developped nations. That could be advantageous for certain nations, in certain fields, for certain individuals. In any case, we as a whole ought to know that there are people that can't follow this progression. Indeed, this new procedure is including a more extensive hole between developped nations and the least developped nations concerning future. Future is a normal number of year given to an individual at his introduction to the world relying upon the nation he was conceived in, and it is a factor characterizing the strength of a nation. Sicknesses, war, starvation, passing rates in a single hand, national financial flourishing, standard training and performant social insurance in the other hand, there are numerous elements influencing the future in every nation, exacerbating it better or. Individuals will in general have. a more extended. life in western nations like Israel where the normal anticipation life is 81 years of age, rather than Zimbabwe, where the normal hope life is 52 years of age (CIA, 2012). This paper will survey two answers for scoundrel anticipation in the developping scene. To begin with, the. advancement and improvement of the medicinal services framework and foundation, at that point the improvement of fitting training projects to teach and instruct the number of inhabitants in those underdeveloped nations. The nations where future is extremely low are nation where passing rates are high. These passing rates are brought about by further realities as war, infections, pandemics and episodes so we can see that human services framework and foundation are essential to keep up the populace in a decent shape. The distinction among evelopped and developping nations concerning this issue has consistently been the prudent issues. Developping nations, so as to improve their circumstance, must set up plans Wich will structure a proficient government spending plan, anyway as a result of their low or exceptionally low GDP, this financial plan could be very close with respect to. social insurance and frameworks committed to that issue. For instance in UK, the financial plan committed to social insurance speaks to eleven percent of the GDP, though Angola utilizes just 2% of open use (WHO,2005). Because of such a low spending plan devoted to Healthcare, developping nations can't give proficient reatments and qualified clinical staff to their residents. The main answer for that issue for developping coutries is to expand their human services spending plan and spot the service of wellbeing upper in their needs. Expanding the expense rates on high salary individuals would raise the financial plan and marginally rise the spending plan by 2% in the Gross Domestic Product. Government ought to aso deal with the medication costs and client charges to make it progressively moderate , and control the equal market to forestall financial misfortunes. A reasonnable and proficient use ot ressources ought to infer a balance in the third world economies and make them top off their financial plan. That would make the coutry qualified for a money related assistance from the world bank, the african advancement Bank or the IMF. Development of new emergency clinics and acquisition of medications would then be potential points of view. Besides, the administrations should concentrate on steady private medicinal services and presentation ofa medical coverage that would assist individuals with keeping their cash and still get productive medicines. Improving medicinal services everywhere throughout the world and particularly in the developping coutries is really one of the most significant issues of the 21 rst century. The second piece of the exposition centers around the instructive sort of treatment that eople in the developping coutries ought to get so as to teach them to the new advances that they will confront, the new offices that tey will utilize. Instruction will likewise permit the clinical staff to flexibly the information and administrations that individuals are anticipating. What's more, training will improve people groups circumstance, working in better places and not being in contact with infections and microscopic organisms. They will procure more cash and that is improving the circumstance of the nation also, by expanding the GDP. We can say that ducation is at the begining of the chain that will carry a nation to flourishing. So as to improve the clinical medicines quality, the service of instruction ought to sort out preparing programs and. classes for the. clinical body (WHO, 2000). In a nearby coordinated effort with the service of Health and a few affiliations, the Ministry of instruction ought to advance hygenie among elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges and other instructive organizations through introductions, or meetings with clinical bodies or even commercial. The nearby affiliations ought to be additionally upheld and anticipation ought to happen mor frequently. Give cleanser a possibility! (wash hands, 2012) is a motto utilized by NHS in the I-JK, a world eading nation as far as wellbeing. Attention to youngsters related with logical information and avoidance activities would be an extraordinary clean improve and could lead toa rie in the future ascent. As per the past expressions, we can say that future could be very much improved by chipping away at how to deal with the financial plan to improve the sterile framework, and improving the instructive framework that will in a manner rise the consciousness of individuals concerning human services and science. Regardless of whether we concentrated on two parts of heel anticipation arrangements, we should make reference to that starvation, war and catastrophic events are lso issues that legislatures should take a shot at. http://www.afro.who.int/en/bunches a-programmes.html https://www.cia.gov/library/distributions/the-world-factbook/rankorder/rankorderguide.html http://www.who.int/whr/2000/media_centre/press_release/en/ http://www.who.int/hac/emergencies/prior/foundation/Angola_Dec05.pdf http://www.who.int/points/health_policy/en/

Similarity and Relationship Satisfaction Research Proposal

Closeness and Relationship Satisfaction - Research Proposal Example These outcomes uncover that dominant part of individuals see marriage as subjugation that block their freedom or put additional duties on them. In spite of the fact that marriage is intended to share obligations, thoughts, joy and laments, and back posterity, individuals see marriage an incredible other way. This enemy of marriage marvel appears to have ejected as an absence of understanding, a come up short on that exhibits nonappearance of closeness basic to support marriage relationship. While ID of the components affecting conjugal fulfillment is of hypothetical enthusiasm to social therapists and likely useful incentive to clinical clinicians working with wedded couples, research here gave just insignificant data about the particular qualities of stable as well as upbeat conjugal connections and has given no reasonable hypothesis of conjugal fulfillment. Social mental hypotheses of adoration and marriage are, when all is said in done, in view of the rule of closeness, i.e., that we will in general partner with other people who reward us and not partner with the individuals who don't (Walster and Walster, 1978). The hypothesis of Complementarity proposed by Winch (1952) depended on Murray's hypothesis of requirements. The hypothesis proposed that inside a field of qualified (which requires a specific degree of likeness) an individual will search out the individual who can offer most extreme need-satisfaction. In particular, Winch proposes that the need examples of A will integral, instead of like the need examples of B. By corresponding he implies that the requirements of A will be diverse in kind from those in B (Type I Complementarity) or they will be distinctive in power (Type II Complementarity) from the necessities that are met for B. in one of the primary investigations, (Winch, Ktsanes and Ktsanes, 1954) discoveries recommended that for an example of wedded couples, people will in general select mates whose requirements are correlative rather that like their own. In this way, Winch (1954) endeavored to investigate extra proof of reciprocal needs while likewise considering the conflicting perspective of similitude of requirements. By looking at the relationships among's married couples, results indicated spouse wife connections were lower on normal that the connections of arbitrarily matched dyads. Since these discoveries neglected to help the possibility of comparability, Winch contended that they bolstered Complementarity hypothesis. There have been a few examinations that have attempted to reproduce Winch's discoveries, yet most exploration has neglected to do as such. For instance, Bowerman and Day (1956) endeavored to imitate Winch's discoveries of need Complementarity of wedded couples. Sixty school couples who were locked in or going consistently rounded out the Edwards Personal Preference Scale. Results recommend an example of comparability as opposed to correlative. Another investigation likewise endeavored to address Winch's hypothesis of corresponding needs by looking at information from normalized mental tests, to decide if wedded couples are described by Complementarity of necessities, just as to decide if there is a positive connection between the level of Complementarity and conjugal satisfaction (Blazer, 1963). Fifty wedded couples who were genuinely composed (for example neither one of the partners had history of psychological sickness) finished the Wallace Marital Happiness Scale and Edwards Personal Preference Scale. Results don't bolster the reciprocal nee

Identity of Infamous Killer - Free Essay Example

Although Jack the Ripper was a murder in London, there arent people who dont know his name. This infamous murderer killed at least five London female prostitutes in 1888. Everyone knows his name, but no one really knows for sure who Jack really is.   Despite never being captured, everyone knows that Jack the Ripper has the assumed identity as a man. But, have you ever considered the fact that his identity, should really be her identity? Jack the Ripper was never captured because they were only looking for male suspects. There has been extensive research on the possibility that Jack the Ripper might actually be Jill the Ripper. In this video, Im going to persuade the idea that Jack the Ripper was a woman, by telling you about the midwife theory, the DNA evidence, and Lizzie Williams. Before we delve into Jack being a woman, lets start with a refresher on just exactly what the infamous killer did.  Ã‚   Who is Jack the Ripper? According to Biography.com,   In Londons East End in the autumn of 1888, the bodies of five prostitutes were found between the days of August 7th and September 10th. All of the murders took place in the WhiteChapel District.   The bodies of these female prostitutes were unusually brutal. They were mutilated beyond anything the London police had ever seen before. It was clear that the killer had knowledge on anatomy, as several internal organs were skillfully taken out, while other sections were butchered mercilessly   (approx time- 1:38)   So, just what exactly what the police assume that this new serial killer on the loose was a man? In an online biography about Jack the Ripper, it is revealed that the London Police Service, known as the Scotland Yard, received several letters from the killer. These letters contained taunts about the gruesome activities and hinted at murders that were to come. Signed at the bottom of these letters, were Jack the Ripper. Some believe that the letters are fakes, while some experts speculate that others are real.   A man named George Lusk, who was head of the vigilance committee in Whitechapel, received a small parcel.   Inside was half a human kidney and a letter from someone claiming to be Jack the Ripper. This letter is the one that is believed to be me the most legitimate.   The part that leads many people to believe this letter is genuine is that the kidney did in fact belong to one of the victims.   Either way, the moniker, Jack the Ripper is the one that was most popular and stuck.   Because the moniker Jack was so widely accepted, it should come as no surprise that the police only entertained male suspects. This is where the police went wrong. One of the major indications to Jack being a woman is the midwife theory.   In 1888, pregnant women had midwives come to aid in their birthing process. Due to the time period, it was not uncommon to see a midwife walking around covered in blood. This is an excellent way for the killer to move around without raising suspicion. A midwife would also have some knowledge on anatomy and would also have the tools necessary to commit the gruesome murders. Some speculate the female prostitutes could have sought out the midwife to get a doctor to perform an abortion, and this is how she is able to lure them to their death. It is important to know that none of the victims were ever sexually assaulted, and that three of the five women had their wombs completely removed. Some of the women had their belongings taken, such as their clothing. It makes a lot more sense for a woman to take another womans clothes, as she could actually use them. If the midwife theory isnt enough to convince you, maybe DNA evidence will? Independent posted an article about a   professor of molecular and forensic diagnostics, known as Dr Findlay revealed that he had developed a profiling technique that could extract DNA from a single cell or strand of hair up to 160 years old. Dr Findlay made the journey London to obtain the evidence that is currently stored at the National Archive. The evidence was kept by Scotland Yard until about 1961. It comprised of the numerous letters sent to the police during the time of the murders. As I said before, some people believe that most of the letters are fake, but almost everyone believes that some of them are real. Dr Findlay took swabs from various types of evidence. He swabbed the back of stamps and from the gum used to seal envelopes, and possible bloodstains. He returned to his lab and began focusing on the collected swabs from the one believed most likely to be from the actual killer. The doctor extracted the DNA and then took the information to create a profile. Based on this information that he gathered   he said, its possible the Ripper could be female. While this evidence is compelling, it is understandable why people are hesitant to accept Jack as Jill.  Ã‚   Why would a midwife want to kill prostitutes? What motive would she have? This is probably the biggest hole in the midwife theory. No one has any proof of reason on why a midwife would want to kill and mutilate all these women. There really arent any probable suspects who were also midwives, but the theory is still one that has caused many suspicions to rise and many believe it to be true. Why after all this time have they been unable to identify this infamous killer? I believe its because they keep looking for the wrong gendered suspect. Jack the Ripper is actually a woman known as Lizzie Williams. Lizzie Williams was married to Sir John Williams, who   ran the abortion clinics in White Chapel, the area where all of the murders took place. Tragically, Lizzie was unable to get pregnant, and was deemed infertile. It was soon after that she discovered that her husband was having an affair with a woman named Mary Kelly.   For those of you who might not know this, Mary Kelly is one of the five victims of Jack the Ripper. John Williams was one of the prime suspects, but no one looked to his wife, Lizzie. There is a book centered around this theory, and it states that Lizzie murdered these women out of grief of her own infertility. This is why three of the victims also had their wombs removed.  Ã‚   It is also important to note that the final victim was Mary Kelly, and that her clothes were taken from her body, and a eye witness saw someone leaving the area wearing Kellys clothing. It would only seem appropriate for a mad Lizzie to murder the woman who had slept with her husband and to wear her clothes in some sadistic way. Jack the Ripper remains unknown because no one will consider the possibility of Jack being a woman. All it takes is a little more research, and the identity of this killer could be discovered. I think that Jack the Ripper is a woman, specifically, Lizzie Williams. She had the knowledge, she the tools, she had the motive   and she was never even a suspect. We might never know the true identity of this infamous killer, but why not at least consider the thought of Jill the Ripper.

Essay on Differences Between Tom Sawyer And Huck Finn

Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer are Mark Twains two most memorable characters. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn experience a life of adventure in and out of role-play, weaving through danger with a childish disregard for personal well being. Even though they are quite alike due to age and hometown, their differences outweigh their similarities. Some of these differences include their upbringing, education, and morality. Toms upbringing is typical for this time period. He belongs to a middle class family made up of himself, his Aunt Polly, and his half brother, Sid. Tom is obsessed with stories of heroes and villains. He spends his spare time trying to pull together a group of robbers made of the other boys in the neighborhood. (20) After this, Huck is forbidden to attend school and is forced to stay in a run down shack in the woods, isolated from his friends and the stable life he was finally adapting to. Tom has been raised in a society with morals and values; a society where black people are slaves to the whites and Christianity is the only way to go. However, Tom is bent on being a criminal, and he will do exactly the opposite of what he feels is right to accomplish this goal. Huck was raised away from the society that Tom grew up in. He knows that the world around him, embraces their code of ethics, and tries to abide by them, but he cannot force himself to do what he feels is unjust and evil, like turning Jim in instead of lying to everyone to protect his friend. Tom wants to cause trouble, while Huck indirectly causes trouble by doing what he feels obligated to by conscience. One example of Huck trying to cause minimal trouble while doing what he feels is right is when Tom and he are trying to free Jim. Huck simply suggests that they steal the key and sneak him away on the raft. This isnt sufficient to Tom, because there is no danger involved. Introduction to the Periodic Table of Elements

Dmitri Mendeleev published the first periodic table in 1869. He showed that when the elements were ordered according to atomic weight, a pattern resulted where similar properties for elements recurred periodically. Based on the work of physicist Henry Moseley, the periodic table was reorganized on the basis of increasing atomic number rather than on atomic weight. The revised table could be used to predict the properties of elements that had yet to be discovered. Many of these predictions were later substantiated through experimentation. This led to the formulation of the periodic law, which states that the chemical properties of the elements are dependent on their atomic numbers. Organization of the Periodic Table The periodic table lists elements by atomic number, which is the number of protons in every atom of that element.  Atoms of an atomic number  may have varying numbers of neutrons (isotopes) and electrons (ions), yet remain the same chemical element. Elements in the periodic table are arranged in periods (rows) and groups (columns). Each of the seven periods is filled sequentially by atomic number. Groups include elements having the same electron configuration in their outer shell, which results in group elements sharing similar chemical properties. The electrons in the outer shell are termed valence electrons. Valence electrons determine the properties and chemical reactivity of the element and participate in chemical bonding. The Roman numerals found above each group specify the usual number of valence electrons. There are two sets of groups. The group A elements are the representative elements, which have s or p sublevels as their outer orbitals. The group B elements are the nonrepresentative elements, which have partly filled d sublevels (the transition elements) or partly filled f sublevels (the lanthanide series and the actinide series). The Roman numeral and letter designations give the electron configuration for the valence electrons (e.g., the valence electron configuration of a group VA element will be s2p3 with 5 valence electrons). Another way to categorize elements is according to whether they behave as metals or nonmetals. Most elements are metals. They are found on the lefthand side of the table. The far right side contains the nonmetals, plus hydrogen displays nonmetal characteristics under ordinary conditions. Elements that have some properties of metals and some properties of nonmetals are called metalloids or semimetals. These elements are found along a zig-zag line that runs from the upper left of group 13 to the bottom right of group 16. Metals are generally good conductors of heat and electricity, are malleable and ductile, and have a lustrous metallic appearance. In contrast, most nonmetals are poor conductors of heat and electricity, tend to be brittle solids, and can assume any of a number of physical forms. While all of the metals except mercury are solid under ordinary conditions, nonmetals may be solids, liquids, or gases at room temperature and pressure. Elements may be further subdivided into groups. Groups of metals include the alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, transition metals, basic metals, lanthanides, and actinides. Groups of nonmetals include the nonmetals, halogens, and noble gases. Periodic Table Trends The organization of the periodic table leads to recurring properties or periodic table trends. These properties and their trends are: Ionization Energy - energy needed to remove an electron from a gaseous atom or ion. Ionization energy increases moving left to right and decreases moving down an element group (column).Electronegativity - how likely an atom is to form a chemical bond. Electronegativity increases moving left to right and decreases moving down a group. The noble gases are an exception, with an electronegativity approaching zero.Atomic Radius (and Ionic Radius) - a measure of the size of an atom. Atomic and ionic radius decreases moving left to right across a row (period) and increases moving down a group.Electron Affinity - how readily an atom accepts an electron. Electron affinity increases moving across a period and decreases moving down a group. Electron affinity is nearly zero for noble gases.

Personal Reflection Of Langston Hughes s Poem, Mother And...

1 English Composition II Chandler Dixon Personal Reflection of ?Mother to Son? In the poem ?Mother to Son? by Langston Hughes, the author describes a mother?s warning to her son about life?s struggles. This poem was written in 1926 by Hughes, during a time period known as the Harlem Renaissance. This was a time of expression for African Americans as the culture was two generations removed from the Civil War. The life of African Americans was completely different than their pre and post war relatives. Many had gotten jobs, owned their own homes and even fought in the Great War. Despite the advancements made during this time, many if not most African Americans still struggled with poverty and discrimination. This is evident in the poem†¦show more content†¦That has helped me realize how lucky I am and to strive to make them and myself proud of my choices in life. While the setting for this poem is not revealed in the words, the reader can picture the mother and son in the tiny kitchen, him eating at the small table while his mom is cleaning the kitchen after making his snack. The small apartment shared by many in their family in Harlem, New York. The place is as clean as she can make it, but not shiny and new. I can relate here as my mom sat with me in the kitchen many a snack time and we talked about her life and how she wanted my life to be amazing. Along the same line of thinking as the theme and setting is the tone of the poem. The mother?s words are indicative of a gritty, hard-working, resilient mother that only wants the best for her son. She speaks of her life having tacks, splinters, and torn-up boards throughout as well as places that are bare, with no carpet. Hughes is using these words to describe the life she had and her resilient attitude comes out in her tone with the words. This tone of her words is relatable to me to depict the struggles in life she had and wanted emotion tied to them. Either Republican or Democrat Free Essays

At this very moment, our political system has become so polarized that a person must be either a Republican or Democrat. Both sides of the aisle are having trouble to communicate with each other to reach a compromise. Today, the Democrats have become too far left and the Republicans are too far right. We will write a custom essay sample on Either Republican or Democrat or any similar topic only for you Order Now If I must choose one party, I will choose the Democratic Party. I believe that the government should raise the minimum wage to $15, free college tuition, women having a choice when it comes with their bodies, and immigrants having the opportunity to live in the greatest country in the world, the United States of America. A lot Of Americans are going through hard times. Everything has become so expensive that with the national wage of $7.25 is not enough. People are working through multiple jobs to make ends meets. For example, my father works three jobs. Two jobs are full time and the other one is part time. Each job pays $10 an hour. Ten dollars compare to the national average seems better, but where my family lives is not enough. My father is the one responsible for paying for mortgages, food, insurance and my education. He is putting his health on the line to give me the opportunity to have a higher education. Back during an assignment for Government 2305, I propose a law that will raise the minimum wage to $15. I believe that if the national wage was $15, people can enjoy and have great opportunities to succeed in life. I hope one day, congress can pass a law that will raise the minimum wage. Public Education has become so expensive. After students graduate college, they will have tons of debt that it will take forever to pay off. For students that are going to college, free tuition is a great idea. I believe that having free tuition will help many families who are struggling financially. Even with scholarships, students are having hard time paying for college. The proposals from Senator Bernie Sanders appeals to me. Free college tuition for me is an awesome idea and will save me money especially when I want to go to medical school for me to become a dermatologist. Sanders proposals for free college tuition has taken a lot of criticism from republicans because it will increase the federal deficit, but the tax cuts they just pass will increase the deficit to one million dollars. Even with criticism, I believe one-day congress will make free college tuition a reality. Women’s rights are one of the issues that is getting attention especially with the possibility of a repeal of the decision of Roe v Wade that made abortion during the first trimester legal. With the nomination for a new Supreme Court justice, women are worry that they will not have the ability to control their bodies. I believe that women should have the right to decide what to do with their bodies. I believe that women should have access to facilities that will help guide them through family planning, birth control, and safe abortions. If I ever become pregnant, I would not have an abortion personally, but that will be my choice not the government’s. Women have fought so hard over the years that they don’t want the government to take away the rights they have gained. Immigration has become the heated debate between Democrats and Republicans. President Donald Trump is constantly bringing illegal immigration as the reason for the crimes going on around the country. There have incidents that where undocumented immigrants have been charge with murder, but that doesn’t mean that every immigrant is a criminal. Immigrants are what made the United States of America. Immigrants work day and night to provide for their families. I believe that undocumented immigrants should have a path to citizenship only if they have no criminal record. They should have the same opportunity that Europeans had when they first arrived at the United States. Immigrants are in the country in search of the American Dream and no skin color should prohibit that from happening. I do consider myself a Democrat. I didn’t vote in the 2016 election because it was my belief that Hillary Clinton would win the elections. Unfortunately, Donald Trump was elected. Midterm elections are coming up, and I will be voting for the Democratic party. Democrats should take control of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Hopefully, the state of Texas could one day turn blue. How to cite Either Republican or Democrat, Papers

The transmitt er can construct chances for the receiving system to supply feedback by holding a web site on which people can show their concerns and sentiments. In decision. BP should’ve put more planning when they were conveying their message to the stakeholders. They were unorganized and non really honest doing the stakeholders uneasy and critical of them. If they conveyed their message in a more sensitive and organized mode. they wouldn’t have gone through every bit much harm.

Innovation Pathways Large Data Analysis

Question: Discuss about the Innovation Pathways Large Data Analysis. Answer: Introduction Ever since social media has gotten into the mainstream, there has been an explosion in its use, both for social and commercial purposes. As businesses seek to gain a greater market share, many have resorted to online advertising using paid up ads; however, social media advertising has gained even greater popularity as an advertising platform. Businesses need to make sense of the social media data by analyzing sentiments from comments in order to improve their products or develop a better understanding of their clientele. However, mining social media data, especially hash tags pose a challenge in that there are many variations in the quality and frequency of semantics usage. This creates a problem for automated data mining when approaches such as obtaining metadata of a hash tags lexical semantics, or mining information from the text associated with hash tags (contextual semantics). Sentiment analysis refers to the process of identifying and categorizing peoples opinions in text using computational approaches in order to understand the attitude of the writer towards a topic and is a fast growing research area (Medhat, Hassan, Korashy, 2014). Clustering entails grouping objects in a group based on their similarity. Semantics refers to logic aspects of language concerned with meaning (Daim, Chiavetta, Porter, Saritas, 2016). This thesis proposes a review of existing methods to solve the identified problems of semantic analysis by evaluating past research and developing a novel approach for clustering social media hash tag semantics. This is aimed at providing businesses with a better method for deriving sense and metrics from their social media activities to better understand their customers and product in a more accurate manner. Problem Statement The present approaches to sentiment analysis entail the use of symbolic techniques where every term (feature) is assigned a specific sentiment score to measure its intensity and direction as either being negative or positive. The score of a document is computed using aggregation techniques for the score for each term. Another approach to sentiment analysis is the approach of supervised machine learning where functions are inferred from training data that has been labeled. However, these techniques have drawbacks; the symbolic approach relies completely upon score terms to create a document class, yet the method is too simplistic and rudimentary and has high levels of inaccuracy to be used meaningfully. Further, the supervised learning, through an improvement over the symbolic technique, is very expensive since large quantities of training data is required and these must have their classes manually pre-defined (Li, Liu, 2012). As such, a better method for sentiment analysis is necess ary; the method should result in greater stability, efficiency, and accuracy as well as requiring little human input, and being as cost effective as possible. Background to the Problem People make comments and opinions on social media, using hash tags related to specific topics to give their opinions; to make sense of this opinions and use it for purposes such as improving products by businesses, the opinions are mined using computational approaches, a concept termed sentiment analysis (Medhat, Hassan, Korashy, 2014). The data sets used for sentiment analysis and how they are used are of immense importance in creating meanings upon which important decision s can be made. The methods commonly used include supervised machine learning and symbolic techniques. Symbolic techniques include approaches such as human scoring of sentiments on a scale ranging from positive to negative; for example, poor can be scored as negative. This is the simplest approach to sentiment analysis, but has the drawback of being highly subjective and inaccurate. To get better results, lexical databases such as WordNet are employed for scoring, but this is mainly for the English language where English words are grouped into sysnets and entails only scoring adjectives. The database defines relationships between synonyms allowing for scoring based on the distance or similarity between two words. Scoring can also be achieved through web search which works on a similar approach to WordNet where the familiarity of words is measured. The other approach of supervised machine learning entails the extraction of objective sentences from a document using either a 3 or 4 point scale using a technique of negation processing where ME (maximum entropy classification), NB (Nave Bayes classification) and SVM (support vector machine) are used (Li, Liu, 2012). These challenges are magnified when there are hash tags involved in sentiment analysis (Fernandez, Mart?nez-Barco, Gutierrez, Gomez, 2015).Using training data, the accuracy of the methods ranged between 73% and 83%, which are still low and better approaches to provide greater accuracy with little human input in an efficient manner are of great importance. Research Design This paper proposes the use of a descriptive qualitative research design in which past work will be reviewed and past algorithms as used in sentiment analysis evaluated for their merits and limitations. Works by past researchers in the field will also be reviewed for their suitability and practicality in solving the stated research problem; data and metadata to be used for identifying hash tag lexical semantics will be proposed and sense level algorithms developed and tested, using examples to demonstrate a novel method for clustering semantics used in social media This research thesis will, after reviewing and evaluating some of the popularly used approaches and algorithms in semantic analysis, propose the use of sense level semantic clustering based on metadata for hashtags and a hybrid method for clustering, employing consensus clustering. Using examples, this paper will demonstrate the accuracy of the hybrid approach in solving the research (and practical) problem with respect to efficient, simple, non-human mediated and efficient method for sentiment analysis. This will add to the existing body of research on sentiment analysis, specifically focusing on hashtag sentiments as used in social media, and geared towards helping businesses generate more accurate profiles of their products based on customer sentiments. Olympic Game And The Fifa World Cup Management Essay South Africa is known as a fast-developing state, and World Cup is possibly the biggest event of all time in its district. However, the substructures in this Africans biggest economic system were still hapless when they won the command in 2004. Therefore, its no uncertainty a great challenge for this state. Furthermore, with the bad repute of African undertaking failure syndrome ( Rwelamila, Talukhaba A ; Ngowi, 1999 ) and eventuality locale ( DellApa,2008 ) , many people has a deep misgiving to countrys capableness to finish this monolithic undertaking. While Canada presents a different scene, where 1976 Montreal Summer Olympic and 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic were staged, with advanced systems in featuring locales, transit, communicating services. Besides, the authorities and authorization had accumulated much experience prior to this game. The International Olympic Committee ( IOC ) had great assurance that Canada will show a superb tourney to the universe. During the preparative stage, The building of substructure is a cardinal parametric quantity for measuring the preliminaries. Yardstick for measuring overall undertaking public presentation These two undertakings were both over-budget Table 3: Planned budget versus concluding costs of the 10 World Cup bowls ( Baloyi and Bekker, 2011 ) Harmonizing to the tabular array, except from two losing informations, the other eight bowl were all over-budget, the estimated budget was R11.7 one million millions, but the concluding cost was 35 % beyond the budget. Baloyi and Bekker ( 2011 ) found that overspending is caused by a figure of factors, the chief grounds are increase in material cost and inaccurate stuff estimations. It is besides of import to place the beginning of investing for the game, the bowl undertaking was wholly funded by South African authorities. Similary, the locale building cost of 2010 Winter Olympic was besides over-budget. The original estimated cost was $ 470 1000000s, but the organizer subsequently revised the budget to $ 580 1000000s to guarantee the locale could run into IOC satisfaction ( ) . However, the concluding cost given by VANOC was $ 603.3 million. The Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia each committed $ 290 million to venue development plan, along with $ 23.3 million came from value-in-kind from patrons, BC Housing and involvement ( Brumwell, 2010 ) . Sing the compeletion of work, both South Africa and Vancouver successfully finished before their deadlines. A sum of 10 bowls were selected as game locale for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, five of them were newly-built and other five holding undergone monolithic renovation. Building work was due to get down in late 2006, and they were supposed to complete before December 2009. However, it went through a zigzag procedure, FIFA review commission was often kicking about the slow advancement, and some were non ready for the Confederation Cup in 2009 the warm-up event for the World Cup ( Baloyi and Bekker, 2011 ) . Some rumors even claimed that the president of FIFA, Joseph Blatter might look for alternate to host this tourney. But eventually, all 10 bowls were successfully completed on clip and passed scrutiny. During the command procedure for the 2010 Winter Olympics, the modern, brilliant bing featuring locales has been one of Canadas great competitory advantage. With its solid foundation, the VANOC decided to upgrade four locales to necessitate criterion and meanwhile built six new sites. VANOC started venue building every bit early as 2006, and it was developed really swimmingly. By February 2009, one twelvemonth in front of the game, all locales were ready and unfastened for preparation and proving event. Besides, the ticket gross revenues of these two events differed greatly. In April 2010, merely two months before the kickoff, there were still 50,0000 unsold tickets, available to all 64 games including South Africa s lucifers and the concluding. The hapless merchandising was go oning in both host state and abroad market, merely 42 % of allocated tickets were being bought outside South Africa, with 330,000 tickets staying. The concern of expensive airfare, transit, hotel and safety issue had deterred many protagonists. As respects domestic purchasers, the first job was pricing, as most of the flush white occupants prefer watching rugger to football, while even the cheapest tickets ( 140 rand = 12.40 ) , were still out of range for the black community. Another job is the dealing method, The IOC chose cyberspace as a chief gross revenues channel, nevertheless, merely 11 % of South African population were internet endorsers ( ) . To guarantee full bowl, the organiser gave some free tick ets to big companies instead than hapless people, but there was no betterment after the tourney started, the FIFA functionaries were still disappointed with 1000s of empty seats. In constrast, tickets for Vancouver Olympics sold really good, study suggested that VANOC managed to sell over 97 % of the numbering 1.54 1000000s tickets. With respect to abroad gross revenues, more than 75 % of all available tickets were sold. The bowls were full in Opening and Closing Ceremonies and in some popular athleticss such as ice hockey. The high attendence was due to two ground, foremost, the VOC created a fan-to-fan market place on its official web site for reselling and donating the game ticket, which provided great flexiblity for marketer and purchasers. Second, some of official spouses donated over 50,000 tickets, and these tickets were so distributed to the destitute communities ( ) . Operational hazard and unexpected challenge Table 4: Hazard Table of South Africa World Cup Table 5: Hazard Table of Vancouver Olympic Games The 19th FIFA World Cup was the fifth clip held in the South hemisphere. Players have to vie in cold clime once more after 32 old ages. As the sod are to a great extent influenced by the clime, the inauspicious conditions status seemingly brought a large challenge to the organiser. Therefore, FIFA and LOC decided to present the man-made grass to some of bowls. Basically it was a blend of unreal grass ( 3 % ) and nature grass ( 97 % ) , the unreal grass fibers were implanted below the surface and intermingle with the nature grass which can beef up the field ( ) . Thus the intercrossed grass will hold a smooth surface with a hardy root, it will non be affected by upwind status or ferocious undertaking any more. As man-made grass was first employed in World Cup, the populace were filled with expectancy and uncertainty. After playing a lucifer on this revolunary surface, the Algerian manager Rabah Saadane felt the man-made pitch had a negative impact on his squads public presentation. Ne vertheless, most of participants mentioned that it was a challenge but they enjoyed playing on this field ( ) . Safety has been a long-standing issue for South Africa, which is stemmed from racial tenseness, pieces proliferation, high unemployment rate and big income spread etc. Any offenses happened during the World Cup would deface the host state. Awared of these hazards, both LOC and the authorities spent much attempt in battling offense and guaranting the security of visitants. Before the start of tourney, the South African authorities announced that their disbursal in security had reached $ 1 billion, and the SA constabularies service added 41,000 constabularies officer to cover with larceny, vandalism and terroism ( Sylvester and Harju, 2010 ) . The authorities besides invested R45 million to a fast-track condemnable justness system to treat any World Cup-related offense. The suspects were arrested by constabulary and taken to a delicated tribunal where they would confront farther probe ( Sylvester and Harju, 2010 ) In add-on, Joint Operation Centers have been set up at each locale locat ion, and it consisted of constabulary, trefoil and fireman in order to get by with any possible crisis ( Pellegrino, Bam and Dutiro, 2010 ) . It turned out that these moves were really effectual. The reported offense dropped 70 per centum during the World Cup, the tourney passed off peacefully without any studies of violent offense ( Sylvester and Harju, 2010 ) . The South African authorities won international congratulations for its security step. On the contrary, this Vancouver Olympic was doomed to be unsuccessful from first twenty-four hours when Georgian Luger Nodar Kumaritashvili was killed during a preparation tally. Although the paramedics arrived on the scene within seconds after the accident and the athelete was airlifted to a injury centre in Whistler ( Bryant, 2010 ) . However, few hours subsequently, the Georgian deputation confirmed the tragic intelligence. In fact, Luge is seen as the most unsafe athleticss in the Olympics, and it took topographic point in one of the universes fastest path this clip. Furthermore, prior to the awful calamity, there were several little accidents in the same topographic point, and one Rumanian jock lapsed into unconsciousness for a few proceedingss ( Bryant, 2010 ) . But unluckily, these issues had non brought to organizers attending. VANOC did non modify the race path and rise the protective wall on the side of the luge, which resulted in the fatal accident. This calamity had caste d a somberness over the game and it was merely a beginning of catastrophe. A series of accidents followed afterwards, the sudden prostration of ice-resurfacing equipment led to the delay of speedskating events, and one Slovenian jock injured during the cross-country race. More earnestly, VANOC didnt reckon for the unseasonably mild conditions. This caused a job at Cypress Mountain, as snow could run in the locale of freestyle skiing and snowboarding competitions. Therefore the organizer had to desperately transport dozenss of snow from environing mountains and even cancelled some competitions ( Broom, 2010 ) . To get by with the refund, the functionaries once more did a hapless occupation, as they merely refund to the original purchaser, and wholly ignored those who bought ticket from jobber. The loss in ticket gross was about $ 1.5 million, merely a bantam portion of VANOC s $ 260 million in ticket gross, but harm in public-relation was much more serious. ( Broom, 2010 ) Post-event Bequest Hosting a big international athleticss event promises non merely the exhilaration of the event and media exposure for the host state but besides the outlook of a positive return on the considerable investing associated with hosting this type of event. Harmonizing to the statistics provided by LOC, the entire gross generated by 2010 World Cup exceeds R38 one million millions, which was 45 % more than the mark. Furthermore, the month-long World Cup contributed R93 one million millions to South Africas GDP growing ( Sylvester and Harju, 2010 ) . In the long term, the monolithic substructure betterments will be benefited by local occupants, and it would move as a accelerator for societal development. Besides, the success of World Cup had changed the international perceptual experience of this state. FIFA president, Sepp Blatter awarded the host state a 9 out of 10 for its organisation. Another study indicated that 92 % of foreign visitants would urge South Africa to others as a tourer finish ( Sylvester and Harju, 2010 ) . These positive responses would surely pull more tourers and abroad investing. The Canadian authorities had predicted that the gross of Winter Olympic approximates $ 9.6 one million millions, but finally, the entire income was about $ 1 billion ( ) . Furthermore, the overall cost of this game was over $ 6 one million millions, 6 times more than the old budget. Therefore, the Olympic Game created debt job for Canada, and this immense load demands to be shared by the local occupants. But except from the immense shortage, the Olympics had left strong bequests for the host state. One of the durable effects was in environment country. The Vancouver Olympic was praised for more than Green game, they had developed a new sustainability benchmark for the hereafter mega featuring event ( ) . In add-on, VANOC received the Excellence for Green Building award from the Globe Foundation and the World Green Building Council for constructing the greenest Olympic territory in North America ( ) . Lesson learnt from the undertakings From my position, although South Africa met with some jobs during the readying such as cost overproduction in locale building and hapless ticket merchandising. But they successfully manage the possible hazards and challenges during the tourney, and besides received both touchable and intangible benefits. Vancouver Olympic Games, by contrast, the organizer win in presenting the undertaking on clip and within its budget, but the tourney was labelled as a failed undertaking due to the awful hazard direction and immense shortages. By comparing these two undertakings, there were several critical lessons to larn. First, exposure to put on the line could do terrible result, hence hazard direction is necessary for undertaking. It requires non merely proper designation of each hazard but besides seasonably and effectual action to undertake them. From the illustration of Winter Olympics, VANOC did non take every potency hazard into consideration. They underestimated the chance and impact of unusual conditions and mechanical snafu, which led to detain and even cancellation of the game. Furthermore, the Olympic organiser did non respond quickly when a hazard had been spotted. Before the Olympics, VANOC and path interior decorator had been informed by the International Luge Federation sing the unsafe luge race path in Whisler Sliding Centre, but the organiser did non do any alteration on the path. After the path was opened for proving and preparation, some incidents occurred and caused hurt. However, there was still no mark of alteration which led to the decease of Georgian jock. Second, cost overproduction sometimes seems ineluctable in a big, long time-span undertaking. Statistical information shows, over the past half century, cost overproduction arises in all the Olympic Game after subtracting the rising prices rate. There are multiple internal and external factors occur during the undertaking. Internal factors such as inaccurate measure take-off, alteration orders by client ( Baloyi and Bekker, 2011 ) . External factors such as fiscal crisis, domestic currency depreciation, rise in natural stuff monetary value. Therefore, for future undertaking directors, they have to keep a good relationship with patrons to procure support. They besides need to fix a elaborate cost-benefit analysis for patrons to convert them of investings. Furthermore, in the early phase, the undertaking squad estimates the budget with small information. The demand is to put more clip in the early briefing phases of design to clearly specify a undertaking s range and complexness. Last, the undertaking director should analyze the existent status of every part, instead than trusting on empiricist philosophy. Particularly for an international undertaking, it is of import to guarantee the same communicating engineering is available across the sites. The organisers of South Africa World Cup wrongly believed that on-line ticket merchandising is favorable in every state, but in fact, the cyberspace use in this state was comparatively low compared to the old host states such as Germany and Japan. This resulted in a hapless ticket merchandising and low mean attending.

Suggestions for Simple College Workouts

Suggestions for Simple College Workouts Finding the time to get your homework done  can be challenging enough but finding time to get in college workouts often seems impossible. Fortunately, however, there are some simple workouts you can do on nearly any campus. By thinking creatively, you can incorporate your schedule into your workouts instead of trying to incorporate your workouts into your schedule. Go for a Walk It can be fast; it can be slow; it can be on flat ground; it can be up and down the worst hills on campus. Walking, however, can be a great way to get a workout in during your busy day. Walk the long way to class. Park your car far from where you need to be and walk the rest of the way. Walk up the stairs. Walk to and from all of your classes instead of taking the shuttle. Just walk, walk, walk. Go for a Run If you dont have much time and dont mind a little sweat, going for a quick run can be a great college workout. It can also be a fun way to see parts of your campus that you havent seen before. If you have an hour between classes, consider going for a run instead of just talking it up with friends in the coffee shop. A 30- or 40-minute run still leaves you time to change, rinse off in the shower, and get to your next class in time. Go for a Bike Ride If your campus allows bikes, take advantage of the exercise you can get! Even if you dont have your own bike, see if you can borrow one from a friend or get one super cheap at a store near campus. You can bike to your classes, to your friends places off campus, to major events, and even to the grocery store when you run out of ramen. Just remember to always wear a helmet so you can protect that college-educated brain of yours. Do Yoga With Some Friends Its pretty easy to find some friends who also like to do yoga on a campus. Even if you guys arent pros, you can head somewhere fun the top of a hill, behind your sorority house, on a nice lawn in a quiet part of campus and do some of your favorite poses. Youll get some exercise, some social time, and a few minutes to center and refocus. Do Yoga Alone Finding privacy on campus is a major challenge for most students. Take a moment to do some yoga on your own somewhere outside. You dont even need to dress up in workout clothes to do 10-15 minutes of yoga in the quad or on the hill behind your residence hall. Take some deep breaths and enjoy the quiet while you can! Join a Pick-up Game Not knowing anyone with whom you can play is no excuse for not joining a pick-up game! Head to the gym to see whats going on. Chances are someone will need an extra person on their team. Youll end up getting a fun workout in while also meeting some new folks. Join a Non-credit Exercise Class in the Campus Gym Most campuses that have gyms also offer workout classes. See what interests you (spinning? pilates? circuit training?) and sign up. Knowing you have to workout at a specific time and place each week can help hold you accountable and can help you feel less guilty about not working out at other times. Run the Stairs in the Stadium Think of how you feel when you see someone running the steps in one of the campus stadiums on campus: That person is a rock star! Then think about how youll feel when youre the one who is doing it with ease. Rocky music, of course, can help but isnt required. Lift Weights in the Weight Room Weight training is a great way to get a college workout in without taking up too much time. If you have an hour to spare between classes, hit the weight room. Youll feel great, get energy for your next class, and tone up. Hit the Cardio Machines in the Gym Sure, most people cringe a little bit when they think of having to do the elliptical or treadmill in the gym. Instead of viewing this kind of exercise as drudgery, however, view it as your chance to mentally check-out a little. Treat yourself to a jamming playlist, read a gossipy magazine, watch TV episodes (or a movie) on your iPad/cell phone, or do anything else that lets your brain check out from the stress of college and the gym. You might be surprised at how quickly the time goes! Sign Up for a For-credit Exercise Class If you arent that great at holding yourself accountable when it comes to working out (either on your own or in a just-for-fun class), consider signing up for a for-credit workout class. Chances are, the idea of doing poorly in a gym class will be enough for you to get your tush to class on time, every time meaning youll always get your workouts in. Play Baseball or Softball You dont have to be part of a formal team to get a game going. Grab some friends and equipment and just have a fun time playing Americas favorite pastime. Play Ultimate Frisbee You dont need to be on your schools Ultimate Frisbee team in order to play, have a good time, and get in a good workout in the process. If you want to get a quick workout in on, say, a lazy Saturday afternoon, just grab some friends, a Frisbee, and an empty field. You just might end up playing for longer than you expected! Go for a Swim Many students forget that their campus gyms have pools and nice ones at that. You can go for a swim by yourself or with friends; you can do lazy laps or really push it; you can do laps or just do something silly with friends, like playing improv water polo or Marco Polo. No matter what you do, though, youll get your body moving while having fun and without being too sweaty when youre done. Workout in Your Room to a Video YouTube is overflowing with videos you can use to do your own, private workout in your room. You can also download a video of your choice or workout with a system (like a Wii). The best part: You can get your workout in without anyone else seeing. Do Some At-home Exercises in Your Room You may be interested in doing sit-ups ... but not in front of everyone at the gym. Set up your own home exercises (sit-ups, push-ups, tricep dips, etc.) for a quick routine that you can do whenever you have a moment, need an energy rush, or just need to give your brain a break from studying.
